Bodet Digital Clock Helps Record-Breaking Charity Event

24 hour burpee challenge accurately timed by HMS LED Digital Clock

At 6am on 21st January, fitness coach Lauren Sullivan begun her attempt to break the world record for the greatest number of chest-to-ground push up burpees by an individual female in 24 hours.

Lauren, a coach at fitness and training organisation Manor, undertook the attempt to raise money for charity organisation Rock2Recovery. The event was scheduled to coincide with her birthday, and resulted in Lauren smashing the previous record of 5,555 burpees by completing 6,247 in 24 hours.

In addition to breaking the world record, Lauren raised over £8,000 for Rock2Recovery, a charity organisation who focus on supporting veterans leaving the Armed Forces with brain injuries and mental health issues attributable to their period of service. For both the record-breaking achievement and the amount of money raised for charity, we would like to congratulate Lauren.

Bodet’s HMS LED Digital Clock was used to precisely time the attempt which was recorded by the Guinness World Records organisation. The free rental of Bodet’s clock was organised by the Bremont Watch Company on behalf of Manor.

Digital Clocks such as the Large LED Outdoor HMS range are ideal for timed events and where long viewing distances are necessary, such as sports grounds. They can be standalone, or part of a larger Synchronised Clock System to ensure every clock across your organisation displays the same correct time, and with automatic Summer / Winter changeover.
