School Lockdown: Aylesbury school goes into lockdown after man spotted on roof

Ashmead Combined School recently had to go into lockdown, after an unknown man was discovered on the top of a building on school grounds

Police were called to the school to deal with the situation on 30th January, which eventually drew to a close without any injury.

Inspector James Davies, of the Aylesbury Vale local police force commented “Thames Valley Police officers were called today at about 9.40am following reports that a man was on the roof of Ashmead School in Aylesbury.

 

"Officers attended the scene and worked with other emergency services to ensure that the man was removed safely from the roof.

 

"The school was closed while we dealt with the incident.

 

"The man has now been removed from the roof and is in the care of health professionals."

 

It’s been reported that a man was eventually arrested in connection with the incident.
